About us

When I was little, about 12 years old, I remember visiting my grandmother in Oklahoma. She lives in a cozy cabin in the woods on what she calls a mountain named Gopher Mountain. She named it this because of all the Gophers that dug holes on her property. Anyways, something that she and I did when I visited was drink lots of tea. I'd arrive, and she would immediately put the kettle on.

My favorite part was when it was late at night. We would talk and talk and talk. We would discuss the fairies that lived in the woods, deliberate about the medicinal properties of various herbs, converse on Cherokee folklore, and gab about our love of writing. We did this every time I visited.

The tea that I sell is in honor of those nights when we drank tea and had intriguing conversations about everything.
